How much feed is required for a betta?
Betta
ideal temperature is around 22 to 27 degrees Celsius. They
are sensitive to water, like humans are exposed to oxygen. They needed all
aspects of water when they were living their wildlife.
Such as slow-moving water just as ponds, shallow
water, etc. Not too deep water because the oxygen level decreases, and
freshwater that doesn't contain any materials harm the fish. Iron, chlorine,
and high pH levels are hazardous to this fish.
Bettas are for everybody, even for beginners and
fish keepers. Not for their beauty and other unique attributes but because they
are so easy to take care of.
Feed schedule
They needed to be fed at least twice daily with a
12-hour difference between each intake. They like to eat meals or pellets high
in protein ( must ), nutrients, minerals, and essential vitamins.
To engage this schedule, feed them their first meal
in the morning and their second meal at night. And try to maintain this routine
from now on because these fishes are intelligent and can adjust themselves to
current practice.
There are many professionals even some experts, that
you need to feed your betta 3 times a day. They only tell you this because they
want their business to run up. So that you will buy food from them, and they
can earn a profit, so avoid these scammers.
Place of feeding
The tank situation or location plays a similar role
in maintaining their ongoing meal intake routine. Placing an aquarium in such a
place where the fish is visible to you and other house members will make you
think that now is the time to feed the fish.
The routine doesn't need to be accurate and sharp 12
hours of difference; it can be 11 hours or even 10 hours. The other reason for
tank location is that when the owner is absent, other house members can feed
the fish quickly and on time.
Quantity of food
The number of food matters a lot, just like the
quality of food does. Your betta can quickly gain weight if eating a lot or
abnormally. So giving them the right amount of food suitable for them can
prevent this weight gain.
Excessive weight is dangerous for these cute little
fishes as they can die from it. To prevent this, drop some pellets and notice
how much time your fish takes to consume all pellets. Give a single look at
your fish; if the stomach or bulge is noticeable, this is a sign of overeating.
If your betta stops eating, that is the correct
quantity, and if your betta
fish for sale California stops eating and, after every
minute or two, comes up again to eat; this is called overeating.
Skinny or healthy
They need to be in a perfect physical state to enjoy
a happy and healthy life. Skinny betta shows that you are
not feeding them as much, and healthy ( swell, fat ) betta represents eating
more than they should be eating.
